I hope you had today a good start in the new week, it's August already. 7 months of this year are already gone, yesterday is already past time. In this case and point of view: I wish you a good future...*smile*....
Thank you so much for all the kind comments and compliments.

Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything. Aaron Siskind
Hi my friends,
Thanks for all the comments from yesterday, they are very much appreciated.

When was the last time you spent a quiet moment just doing nothing - just sitting and looking at the sea, or watching the wind blowing the tree limbs, or waves rippling on a pond, a flickering candle or children playing in the park? Ralph Marston
Hi my friends,
I wasn't surprised that so many of you liked that old and beautiful Studebaker car in my last post yesterday. It was indeed the perfect match together with those pastel Florida colors of that old time Motel in New Smyrna Beach. I fell in love too with the subject at the first moment.
I have not to much to say today. It's Saturday and weekend anyway for you. The best thing to say is only: ENJOY your days off, enjoy your life!
Tomorrow is my "Wordless Sunday" again, be there....! ;)

is the largest body of water in Yellowstone National Park, The lake is 7,732 feet (2,376 m) above sea level and covers 136 square miles (352 km²) with 110 miles (177 km) of shoreline. While the average depth of the lake is 139 feet (42 m) its deepest spot is at least 390 feet (118 m). Yellowstone Lake is the largest freshwater lake above 7,000 feet (2,133 m) in North America.
In winter, ice nearly 3 feet (1 m) thick covers much of the lake, except where shallow water covers hot springs. The lake freezes over by early December and can remain frozen until late May or early June.
Dave and I, we had not such a great day yesterday. We spent again some hours in the emergency room. Dave felt VERY bad again. Now, we got new pills, new inhalers and I know, it will be better for the next some days - if there would be no nights. In the night his terrible cough came back again and he could not breath well. And, I ask myself if this will be good ever one day at all? I cannot see my husband suffering so much and it seems no one of the doctors are able to help him!!!
I have no idea what kind of birds they are, but both were looking so friendly into my camera, it was fun to shoot a series with them. I'm sure out there are some bird lovers who can tell me the exact name of "the twins" (I call them so). Do they belong maybe to the family of the Heron birds?
Thank you all so much for the nice comments to my yesterday's post :)
In these high seas or in low seas I'm gonna be your friend You know that I'm gonna be your friend Any so in high tide or in low tide I'll be by your side You know that I'll be by your side
This is a nice poem I've found about coming soon, beautiful season of fall:
Human's life story is like The travel of a seed in the nature Comes the fall, dies the nature The wind gathered the scattered seeds The seed became a plant at the same root And the plant grew its boughs were formed To different twigs headed the seeds Twigs separated into twigs And become each seed a leaf Then came the fall withered the leaves And they fell one by one The wind cast all a fore knitted leaves away
The small path is guiding us up to the falls, we are surrounded with all those beautiful colors of green
It worth's the sweat you had on the way up to this point, to see this pretty scene of nature. The falls had not that much water as usual because of the high drought they have just now, allover in NC.
A pretty "mini" fall, seen crossing the small bridge on the way up there
My abstract version of the creek
Pretty light...
To walk the way down was much easier. It was a very nice experience of the day to see this Pearson's Falls, a true treasure of mother nature.
Read here more about the Pearson's Falls:
Pearson's Falls Glen is the remarkable botanical wonderland that lies hidden in these great Blue Ridge Mountains. It was named for the young engineer Charles William Pearson who discovered the falls area while scouting for passage through the mountains for what was to be the Southern Railroad. A military man, farmer, and an engineer, Captain Pearson bought the glen as part of a large tract of land that he wanted for his family. For years he and his heirs allowed generations of young people to picnic on the great stone table-rock that you will see at the foot of the falls. Botanists and bird-fanciers from all over the country have come to discover and catalog the wonders of this glen area.
This must be the first bands of tropical storm "Fay"
I like scenes like this and the sound of the big waves coming in to the shore
And there were also two guys out there, they don't cared about the weather nor the coming storm - that was exactly what they needed for their exciting kite surfing sport!
He came later to the beach with his kite and just started going out to the water. But he had to come back pretty soon, then suddenly the horizon was just black!
This kite surfing sport is big fun, you can see it here - and it was big fun also to watch those guys too!
And then it was time to run to the car, big rain drops started falling....
One of our first stops in NC was to see the famous Chimney Rock. You can climb up all the steps or you can use the elevator.Unfortunately, it was too late for us to go up there, the park was closing in 20 minutes already.
This is a close up of the rock with the U.S. flag, a very impressive block. (See more photos in the links below).
A little creek down in the valley with not enough water. The reason is the big dryness they have up there. I have seen a big sign written by a church: "Pray for rain" - and that tells it all!
Chimney Rock Park, just 25 miles from Asheville, boasts that it has the "best of the North Carolina mountains in one place." For the last 100 years, tourists have journeyed to see this 500-million-year-old towering monolith, and the park's "one-stop shopping" for what the mountains are loved for: dramatic scenery, exhilarating hiking trails, rare plants, native wildlife, and one of North Carolina's highest waterfalls (featured in the movie The Last of the Mohicans).
Chimney Rock Park is the natural fulfillment of your trip to the mountains. Take a deep breath of refreshing mountain air, become invigorated by our hiking trails, and let your cares fade away in the cool mists of Hickory Nut Falls. This is the perfect place to reconnect with nature and spend time with family and friends. The Park, located 25 miles southeast of Asheville, North Carolina, offers the best of the mountains in one place-spectacular 75-mile views, hiking trails for all ages, a 404-foot waterfall, a variety of special events and much more.
Yesterday, it was a very hot summer day afternoon and it was our anniversary day.
After visiting the art museum in Charleston (more pictures will come about that) and after a great Ice cream "snack" we decided to go out again to our preferred place at James Island. But pretty soon BIG thunderclouds were forming over our heads and wonderful dark clouds moved in from the back. I love nature spectacles like that!
I will show you more pictures from the museum and more from this spot here with jumping dolphins, big oil tankers on the water and more thunder clouds. (Maybe I should save some pics for the "Friday Sky Watch" play).. ;-)
So then my friends, just stay tuned and come back any times. Oh, by the way..... comments are welcome too! :-)
McClellanville, a small picturesque fishing village at the Coast of South Carolina
I love harbor scenes and my first post about McClellanville is dedicated to the shrimp boats, sitting in the harbor, just coming back from the morning catch
I love details, like here: all the ropes they need on a boat
and the colorful nets
and all the poles in and around the boats
net details
more colorful details...
View in the back of a boat
Even rust can be beautiful...
pretty colors
Last Monday we drove up to the north at the coast line of South Carolina to visit a little fishing village with the name McClellanville. Today I'm showing you some picture impressions from the dock where the shrimp boats were sitting in the small harbor.
Tomorrow I will show you more photos from a picture book perfect surrounding and the small village it self. Stay tuned....
P.S. this is my #651 post today with more than 20'400 visitors! Thank you all for stopping by almost every day and for having you as my loyal friends and for all your kind comments in all these days!
Two rusty old boats have seen better days for sure

And of course I'm NOT going into politics!!! That was a joke, people! I never ever could do that: promising people with great and good sounding words something that they forget in the same second when they get elected!!!
I prefer and LOVE to do my photography and I hope you will still enjoy it and honor me with your comments in the future also.
I'm easy to handle: some kind words or opinions and you will make my day! :-)
